Volgograd Arena is a newly built stadium located in Volgograd. The facility was built ahead of 2018 FIFA World Cup specifically for the tournament. Volgograd Arena was built and officially opened in 2018.
It has become the home for the Football Club Rotor Volgograd, having capacity of around 45,000 spectators. However, after the World Cup the capacity is expected to be decreased to 35,000.
During the World Cup Volgograd Arena hosts the four group-stage matches between Tunisia-England; Nigeria- Iceland; Saudi Arabia- Egypt; Japan-Poland.
